Raffle Drawn for Pepper
The high spot of a very successful 20th Anniversary Exhibition for Berkhamsted Quilters came on the afternoon of Sunday 22nd April when Jonathan Tweed, Chairman of The Pepper Foundation, arrived to draw the winning ticket for the Quilt Raffle, Tantalising Triangles, which had been made by members of the group over a period of about 9 months.
The winner, Sandra Smith from Maple Cross, bought her ticket when the quilt was displayed at the Pepper Shop in Amersham. The raffle raised a wonderful £1759 and a further £406 was raised from other activities over the weekend, totalling £2165!
A big thank you to all who bought tickets and congratulations to the lucky winner.
Additionally, Jonathan awarded the winning prize in the quilting group's African Challenge competition. The picture shows the winner Hannelore Kettle receiving her award. Recent News |
