Waitrose support Pepper during their Charity Week
Waitrose supermarket in Berkhamsted chose Pepper as the recipients of funds raised during their annual charity week, held in February 2007. The partners of the Berkhamsted store voted to support local charities that offer help to children and young people and Pepper, along with another Berkhamsted charitable organisation, were the nominated recipients.
Among the activities that took place were a staff Chinese lunch, a football match between Dry Goods and Fresh Foods - with Fresh Foods winning the day! Bets were placed on who would score the first goal and the winning scorer was Matt Gibson.
Checkouts held a quiz night and there was an auction for departmental managers to be nominated to change jobs for a day!
A total of £285.35 was raised and the donation cheque was presented to Pepper Trustee Linda Horsfall and Administrator Karen Buchanan in April.
Our grateful thanks to all those partners at Waitrose who took part. Recent News |
