Pepper at the Opera

Pepper Opera goers were once again treated to a spectacular evening of good music and frivolity during a recent performance of the Garden Opera Company's performance of Cosi fan Tuti.

At one stage the audience was in hysterics, caused by the performers who took advantage of the mood and certain misfortunes where they openly showed their amusement, much to the delight of the opera goers who rose to the occasion by applauding their approval.

It would seem the garden Opera Company could do no wrong and as previous years have demonstrated, their kind of production and humour is appreciated by established and novice audiences alike.

Mike Jenkyns' desire to bring Opera to the masses has worked yet again with so many young members of the audience showing their approval during the curtain call. This year was no exception to his promise to bring popular Opera to Berkhamsted and for 2008, well watch this space when we announce the next dates.

As usual, the special themed cocktails and in-house catering arrangements were exceptional, not to mention the applause given to Dr Pricilla Chadwick for her tireless support of Pepper by donating the Collegiate Theatre free of charge again.

Our thanks also go out to all those who supported the event to make this one of the must see annual calendar dates in the Berkhamsted events diary.
