Tring Corinthians Celebrity Football Day Out for Pepper
Ross Parrett of Tring Corinthians recently organised a family day out at Tring Athletic Football stadium featuring a celebrity game between the Corinthians and a Luther Blissett Celebrity team. Apart from Luther, many other league and international football stars played, including Paul Jones who played in goal for Wales for many years.
There were also ‘Beat the goalie’ and ‘Hit the crossbar’ competitions, as well as junior competitions – and even the sun shone!
The Pepper team consisting of Moira and Roy Massingale, Julie Parrish, Mary Kennedy and Jonathan Tweed, ran the Tombola and sold Pepper Piglets, show merchandise, and Roy’s special drink competition. Together more than £200 was raised and the word was spread further about the charity, in spite of Julie being stung by a wasp as we set up the stalls!
Thank you to Ross and the Corinthians for their help and support.
