Last November the Amersham Townswomen’s Guild chose Pepper as their charity for the forthcoming year and eleven months later, Jonathan Tweed, Chairman of The Pepper Foundation, was delighted to accept a cheque for £1700 recently, presented to him by the Guild’s Chairman, Anne Jones.
This represented the culmination of a year’s fundraising on behalf of Pepper as a result of money being raised by many and varied activities, including a stall in Amersham market, a Strawberry Tea and several coffee mornings. To add to the splendid donation, a further £270 was raised for Pepper and Iain Rennie from the sale of Christmas cards and goodies – and a further £10 to Pepper by the ladies saying ‘keep the change’. |
