Wendover Teddy Bears Picnic

Teddies and their owners arrived by the score to take part in the first Teddy Bears Picnic run by Wendover & District Rotary Club on 5th August 2009.  A Best Dressed Ted competition, face painting and a children's entertainer were among the many activities for the children during the afternoon and even a heavy downpour didn't discourage the gathering. 

The event raised approximately £1000 with Pepper as one of the 3 charities to benefit from the proceeds. Many thanks go to Val Bevan, David Coles and Gill Heron who represented Pepper on the day and to the newly established Wendover Rotary Club for inviting us!
