2009 New Pepper Children's Nurse

We are delighted to have a new nurse in the Children's Nursing Team. Sarah Mobsby joined us in July and is currently being supported through introduction to the families and the organisation.  An additional nurse is a much needed resource and will enable us to have more flexibility in the service we offer to families.   Sarah previously worked at Hillingdon Hospital where she worked in the general paediatric ward and is finding working with patients in their own homes a very different but rewarding experience.  Sarah said: “I have been impressed by the personal touch and care that the Pepper nurses provide to patients and their families and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead”.

IRHH Pepper Children's Nurse, Gwyneth Wray, has also been promoted internally into the post funded by the Roald Dahl Foundation and she is going to be working on a project based around the ‘transition' of young people into adult services.  We are hopeful that this will improve our involvement in this process and that eventually we may be able to hand over the support of some of these families to the adult teams at Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.

To celebrate the funding from The Roald Dahl Foundation, Pepper has launched a colourful new Quentin Blake Christmas card design.  You can support Pepper this Christmas by ordering your Christmas cards whilst stocks last!  Call 0856 675 5566 or email info@pepper.org.uk for further details and to place your order!
