Fears and Phobias gone for good!
On Saturday 27th February, Potten End Village Hall hosted their first Pepper Event, A Fear and Phobia night. Forty intrepid explorers attended wondering what they may have let themselves in for! They needn't have worried as the night was devoted to reducing the affect of fears, phobias, anxiety and stress. At the end of the evening they had all learned some simple, easy and effective ways of reducing anxiety in any situation and were given a booklet and new skills to take home.
Steve McNulty led the evening and was ably assisted by Dr Mark Chambers, Lucy Waters, Susan Smith and Amanda Collins. Steve cracked Simon's fear of heights in 6 minutes, although his assistant Lucy did tell him that he did it in 4 minutes but talked about it for two more! More fears and phobias were cracked and everyone was given detailed instruction on how to do this for themselves using an energy meridian technique called Thought Field Therapy (TFT). The training consisted of sticking stickers on parts of the body and tapping them. This worked really well until it came to trying to take off the well tapped on very sticky stickers!
The pictures show Steve using Alan as a model for a part of his talk and some of the audience sporting their stickers which, for some unknown reason, they all found hilarious.
The evening made a profit for Pepper and the feedback from everyone was excellent. Many thanks go to Gina Green and her Pepper team who made this new event happen and also who helped on the night.
The Pepper Foundation would like to thank Steve and all those involved for their support and hard work!
