Slimmers Take To The Catwalk And Raise Over £600 For The Pepper Foundation

Members from Elaine Smith's Aston Clinton Slimming World Group, took to the catwalk on Monday, 21st November and raised just over £600, which was donated to The Pepper Foundation. Six models strutted their stuff modelling clothes from Walton Clothing, (Mistral), Berkhamsted, whilst shop Manager, Pam Cooper, presented the show. A good crowd supported the event and showed their encouragement whilst enjoying a glass or two of wine. All the models attend Aston Clinton Slimming World, and have lost almost 11 stone between them. Elaine, their consultant, said that she was extremely proud in the way the models confidently sashayed down the catwalk, showing their new curves, and would like to thank Cynthia Nolan from Shoot Me Photographic Studios, Berkhamsted, who voluntarily took lots of amazing photographs of the evening. Elaine further added, we wanted to hold a fun, community event to celebrate the models' weight losses, and raise money for The Pepper Foundation, a charity that supports families with seriously ill children.

Mr Eric Pillinger from the Foundation, after a moving speech, gratefully accepted a cheque for £400, money raised from tickets sales before the event, and was told at the end of the evening that a further £205 was raised from tickets sold on the night and the raffle. Elaine wanted to thank everyone who gave up their time to make the evening a great success. Could this be an annual event? Watch this space!
