How you can help us

Volunteering

We'll get by with a little help from our friends!

The Pepper Foundation comprises of a Board of Trustees and Pepper Events Ltd Directors and, with the exception of the Pepper Children's Nurses, who are managed by the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, whose service we need to fund to ensure our children are cared for on a 24 hour at-home basis, and a salaried administrator, the charity is completely run by volunteers

Right now, over 30 children are receiving at home care from the Pepper Children's Nurses. All of them have life-limiting illnesses and, sadly, some of them may not have long to live which makes. To enable us to continue providing this service, Pepper need to raise over £300,000 each year to keep the Pepper Nurses on the road. Any amount of time you can spare in whatever capacity will enable us to continue our fundraising efforts to ensure Pepper has a bright future.

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers are an integral part of our organisation and support our service not only by offering much needed time, but also with the range of skills and experience they bring with them. We offer a wide range of activities that volunteers can get involved with including (this list is not exhaustive):

Helping at fundraising events
Assisting with administrative tasks
Envelope stuffing for Pepper News
Volunteering as part of the cast or crew at the annual Pepper Rock Festival

How much time do I need to give?

Different roles require different levels of commitment. We will do our best to find a suitable role to fit with the time you have available so please give us a call to have a chat through the amount of time you can spare.

Do I need to complete any forms?

We ask all our volunteers to complete our volunteer registration – click here to download the form (PDF)
