MEET THE IRHH FLORA LONDON MARATHON TEAM

I'm Jose Cortizo, from Barnes in London. A close member of my family was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer despite her leading a very healthy life, being regular gym user, not smoking etc (fortunately for us it was detected at an early stage and the prognosis is good). She was only 28 when diagnosed and the impact of her illness has changed the life of all around her yet God allowing she will not be needing the services of IRHH.

I am definitely not a sportsman and my friends laugh when I tell them I will run the London Marathon this year. I now run 4 times a week, which is not easy after a day at work when all you want to do is relax, watching Eastenders with a glass of wine.

Apart from the huge personal achievement of running the marathon, raising donations for IRHH will help me feel useful - this is important to me. As a friend or family of someone recently touched by cancer you can feel totally useless. This is my small way of supporting those who support others so well and I want to convince you to donate now!
