Hi! I'm Kevin Farnworth from Ealing, London and I'm running for IRHH because I was deeply impressed with the care and support they provided for my wife's mum, during the last year of her life. My wife (Suzannah Mawdsley) made the decision, following her mother's death, to run the London Marathon for IRHH. I know how much effort this will require on her behalf and I want to provide whatever support she needs to achieve her goal.
In my youth I ran regularly and completed a couple of marathons,
but now I run just for fun. Since my wife and I have agreed to run the
marathon I have gone back to a more rigorous approach to running, which
is challenging, but rewarding.
I know how hard it will be for my wife to train for and compete in the
marathon and I am looking forward to the great sense of pride I will have
when we cross the line together. To combine this with the knowledge that
all the money we raise will go to such a worthwhile charity is a great
reward for the hard work to come.
