A return to running last year in preparation to run the London Marathon 2005 re awakened the “pleasure” of being out at all times of the day and in all sorts of weather, rain, sleet and snow. Still, losing weight and feeling fitter than I have for many, many years is some recompense.
However, the real motivation in 2006 is to raise funds for The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home charity. In recent months I have met with many of the Iain Rennie team and hearing from them and knowing some of the families they have worked with and nursed loved ones for, I have come to realise what an extraordinary group of people they are. The dedication and comfort they bring to those they care for is an example to us all.
