THE LONDON MARATHON - the biggest and best 26.2 miles in the world!

On Sunday 22nd April 2007, 15 runners took part in the London Marathon on behalf of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. Emma, Bob, Gemma, Alan, John, Jim, Simon, Martin, Patrick, Gemma, Mark, Rob, Ken, David, and Oliver – congratulations to all of you for completing the marathon and supporting the work of the IRHH nurses.

The weather was beautiful for spectators but a little too hot for the runners. Despite training all through the dark and cold winter the runners managed to adapt to the weather conditions on the day and all did a fantastic job of completing the marathon.

The IRHH cheering squad managed to spot each IRHH runner in the sea of 30,0000 runners, although sometimes they were running so fast we just managed to catch their backs! Click here for the results.

Thank you to all out brave runners for putting themselves through such a challenging experience and for contributing so much to IRHH in sponsorship. Once we know the total amount raised we will let you know.
