Where there's a will, there's a future….
Everyone should make a will and regularly update it. Many people choose to use their will to remember not only family and friends but also to make a gift to charity.
Why
is it important to make a will?
Without a will you only leave your family
with problems. By making a will you can be sure that your partner or family will
not have to face unnecessary difficulties at a time of great stress.
What
happens if you don't?
The Law of Intestacy means that the State writes
a will for you and your possessions are distributed according to this law. Making
a will ensures that your estate will not be divided up in this way, possibly against
your wish.
Are there different ways to leave a legacy?
Yes. You
can leave a lump sum or a percentage of your estate to the people or favourite
charity of your choice.
Why is it important to keep a will up to date?
Because everyone's circumstances change as time goes by, we recommend that you
review your will every 5 years and more frequently if there is a major change
in your situation.
How do I make a will?
Making a will need not
be complicated or expensive but it is important that it is done properly as it
is a legal document.
