In Memory Donations

It is our privilege to accept donations made in memory of someone who has died. Very often, families suggest that donations are made to a charity instead of sending flowers and we are extremely grateful for donations made in this way.

If donations to the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home are to be made in lieu of flowers, we can offer help and advice at every stage. Please contact us if there is anything we can do to help.

Most In Memory Donations are made in memory of someone for whom our nurses have cared, but we receive many donations in memory of people who have not received care from us. There is no time limit for making an In Memory Donation.

Gift Aid can substantially boost the value of donations made to charities adding 28p for every £1 donated by a UK taxpayer. If possible, please encourage In Memory donors to donate using Gift Aid as this makes such a big difference. A simple declaration from the donor is needed which includes their full name, address including postcode and a statement that indicates that they are a UK taxpayer and wish Gift Aid to be claimed. Click here to download a suitable Donation form.

Please note that claims for Gift Aid can sometimes be made retrospectively.

Here are a few examples of ways to make In Memory donations:

Donation Envelopes

We can provide envelopes for donations which can be used at the funeral or sent to friends and relatives who may be unable to attend. If you wish, these envelopes can include a personal message or tribute from the family. They also include a Gift Aid form which makes it possible to increase gifts made by taxpayers by 28%. Contact Robert Breakwell rbreakwell@irhh.org or Suzanne Britton sbritton@irh.org on 01442 890222 to arrange this.

Send Donations Direct to IRHH

Donations can be sent directly to our offices in Tring and Chalfont St Giles where we have dedicated staff and volunteers who will deal with them. All donations will be acknowledged personally and we will let the family of the deceased know the names of all donors together with the total (not individual) amount received.
