Ron Peterson set off at 5.45am on 16th July 2006, and after making good progress within the first 4 hours, decided to complete the gruelling ride in just one day. Ron's original plan was to complete the challenge over two days!  Up until he completed this challenge, he had achieved 35 miles in one day and found that pretty tough going.  13¾  hours later, at 7.30pm, dehydrated and suffering slight sun stroke, Ron completed the challenge in a fantastic time and said  “It was worth it as a personal challenge and to raise money for a well deserving charity, Iain Rennie Hospice at Home”
