On Saturday 16th December the local High Wycombe Branch of the Foresters (Elm Grove) held their Xmas Dance at the Wycombe Abbey School . They presented a cheque for £4000 to a thrilled Liz Clarke, the fundraising co-ordinator for the Pepper Foundation. This was in addition to Foresters' generous £1000 sponsorship of the August Bank Holiday fete earlier in the year. Liz thanked the Foresters and explained what a difference their huge fundraising would make to children in the High Wycombe area. Over 190 people attended the event and spent the evening dancing to the excellent Legacy Big Band. The dance floor was packed throughout the evening with a display to rival the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final being televised on the same evening! The photos show Sylvia Claydon of Foresters presenting the cheque to Liz Clarke, the stunning venue and some of the group performing a fun dance known as “The Slosh” |
