Steve Baskerville Cycles The Great Wall of China…….and raises money for IRHH in response to the Emergency Appeal

On Thursday 5th October 2006, Steve Baskerville headed off on his 100 mile cycle ride along The Great Wall of China, raising sponsorship money for IRHH.

Steve, “A number of times I have come across IRHH. Their help and support is fantastic and their overall service is invaluable to terminally ill people. When I decided to undertake this 100 mile bike ride in China, I hadn't realised the predicament IRHH were in consequently I have no hesitation in supporting them.”

Steve returned home on Monday 9th October after his 100 mile bike ride. When the IRHH fundraising team called him to see how he had got on he described his experience, “I couldn't get over how busy it was in China. Imagine trying to cycle through IKEA on a busy Saturday in the opposite direction to everyone else and you will get the picture!”

Steve began to fundraise literally days before he left for China and has raised £957 ……so far, via his Just Giving website. Well done Steve!

Transporting the bikes and ourselves wasn't easy!
