Ian Styles, Director and Charity Coordinator of EIC Insurance Services visited IRHH this week to present a cheque for a spectacular £13,000. Ian's visit brought back memories of a wonderful day at Mentmore Golf and Country Club on 1st September that was thoroughly enjoyed by over 140 people.

The EIC Golf Day was meticulously planned and organised and one of the more unusual touches was a pre-dinner fun casino. The after dinner speaker, Russ Williams from the Comedians Golf Society, made everyone laugh and got the auction of to a great start. An amazing range of auction prizes included boxing gloves signed by Henry Cooper, an autographed US Masters Dinner Menu, a weekend at Champneys, a Mentmore Debenture and vouchers for golf at some of the best courses in the UK.

We are very grateful to everyone who supported the day by sponsoring a hole, making a donation, giving their time or services free of charge, companies and individuals who gave raffle prizes, players, helpers, caterers and generous auction bidders.

EIC have organised an annual golf day since 1986 raising over £95,000 for various charities over the years. IRHH have been fortunate to be chosen as the charity to benefit for the last two years. Even better news is that the event is being repeated again on 7 th September 2007. Needless to say, we are really looking forward to it!
