Midday Walk raises £18,455.40 for IRHH - What an amazing fundraising event

On 10th June 2006 (you'll remember it was a scorching hot day!), Chris George, Rosemary Cox and a group of friends from their local gym organised their second sponsored walk. The ‘Midday Walk' took place in Great Windsor Park.

This year the walk was organised to raise money for both IRHH and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Taking on all of the organisation, promotion and registration for the walk - these ladies certainly had their work cut out for them!

Over 200 people registered and just under 200 walked on the day. Each participant was sent a sponsorship form and t-shirt and asked to raised sponsorship for both charities.

On 12th October, IRHH and Breakthrough Breast Cancer were invited to Rosemary's house for a cheque presentation. We were blown away to see that the ‘Midday Walk' had raised a staggering £36,910.80 in total! This money was split 50/50 between the two charities.

IRHH were delighted to receive £18,455.40 from the Midday Walk organisers.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the organisers of the Midday Walk and all the walkers. What a difference they have made!
