A great time was had by all at the wonderful Charity Ball!

On Friday 22nd September Linda Petrons from the IRHH Fundraising team and a group of willing volunteers opened the marquee doors to over 200 guests. After reception drinks the guests proceeded through to the beautifully decorated marquee and Linda kicked off the proceedings with a heart felt speech reminding everyone that the ball was in memory of her late husband Joe and reinforcing the message that charities like IRHH and Cancer Research rely so heavily on fundraising events such as this.

It was then time for the sumptuous 3 course meal, wine tombola and auction. The auction featured a guitar signed by celebrities at the Grammys, an executive box for a game at Wycombe Wanderers, a Bosch power tool and a homemade Bakewell tart which fetched over £100. Then without further ado it was time for the dancing!

Linda would like to send special thanks to Phil Gomme the DJ who again got people onto the dance floor and to Tim Cooper at Dayla and Richard Crave for their generosity.

If you were unable to attend the ball this year, fear not, as the next one has been booked and is happening on Friday 21st September 2007.
