The Amuse-ical Tales of Robin Hood

A special Saturday night in Sherwood (aka Tring!) was enjoyed by the audience at IRHH's Gala Premiere of The Amuse-ical Tales of Robin Hood on 9th September. Written by talented local duo Ian Gower and Rob Alderton (known to IRHH supporters for the excellent production of Noah the Musical last year) the show was presented by Tring Festival Company in association with Imagehouse Productions and Crescendo Music and Sound.

Robin and some of his Merry Men

Packed full of fun, fantastic original music and featuring band of talented youngsters the evening was a lively occasion and raised over £1500 for IRHH. Song and dance routines featured all the favourite characters from the tale – Robin Hood, Maid Marian and Marian's Maid, Little John, a slimline version of Friar Tuck, Little John the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and his side-kick Sir Guy of Gisborne (ably substituted by King Richard's double when the original actor withdrew at late notice owing to sudden illness).

Once again we thank the team at The Court Theatre for their most generous support.
