Tring Angling Club Reels In New Young Supporters |
![]() All in a days work |
Tring Angling Club's association with the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home continued on Sunday 19 th August when the Club organised a free half-day fishing event for youngsters at Wilstone near Tring with proceeds coming to IRHH. A small but enthusiastic group of young people took part in the competition and enjoyed a great day out at a lovely location. A superb barbecue lunch was provided for everyone, courtesy of the Club, and medals were awarded at the end of the day to the youngsters with the highest weight of fish caught. |
Children new to angling received a particularly warm welcome and were given some expert tuition and guidance as well as being presented with a complete set of free tackle to get them started in their new hobby. The IRHH would like to thank everyone at Tring Angling Club, particularly Dick Pilkinton, Dave Burton and Tony Bradbury for all their help. Dave Burton has written a fuller account of the day with more pictures which you can read here. |
