The McDonalds restaurant on the A41 at Bourne End has just undergone a complete refurbishment. The restaurant reopened on Saturday 25th August and Manager, Mr Khalil Khan, invited IRHH to come and join the celebrations. The Mayor of Dacorum performed the official opening ceremony before he and the Mayoress tucked into a Big Mac. Colonel Custard entertained customers with some magic and balloon modelling, face painters created a colourful array of tigers, butterflies and spidermen and Blue Watch from Hemel Hempstead fire station came along in their fire engine. Rennie Bear and his friends ran a tombola and sold merchandise which together with donations in boxes and buckets raised over £200. McDonalds will be boosting the funds raised on the day with a company donation being presented to the Mayor shortly.
