Peggy and the Amazing Technicoloured Hairdo

On Thursday 6th December Peggy Verrall from Monks Risborough had an appointment at Marysia's Hairdressers in Place Farm Way.  That may not seem unusual, but it certainly caused a few heads to turn as Peggy left the salon with her hair dyed in 24 shocking colours!

Peggy, 66, put herself through the potentially embarrassing re-style to raise money for IRHH.  Peggy raised £300 by asking people to sponsor her for different colours in the Renbow Crazy Colours range - and the outcome was certainly very impressive!  Renbow kindly supplied the hair-dyes free of charge, and Marysia's did not charge for the 3 hour transformation, both helping to increase the total raised.

Although Peggy admitted to being slightly nervous when she entered the salon, the staff at Marysia's soon made her feel relaxed, and she was very impressed by her new look: “I didn't know if there would be room for all the colours, but I think it worked well, and I can't wait to see the reaction of my family and friends, especially my grandchildren who already think I'm crazy!”

If you would like to sponsor Peggy please visit her website www.justgiving.com/peggyverrall.  Or if you see Peggy walking around Risborough (and she should be easy to spot) feel free to pass comment or make a further contribution to the good cause.
