On 2nd May long term supporter Gill Davies and her cousin Debbie took on the challenge of walking the 95 mile long West Highland way in 8 days.
Debbie said, ‘The walk was good starting just north of Glasgow at Milngivie with three good days of weather at the beginning when we all wore shorts and T-shirts as we walked along Loch Lomond and saw feral goats and a herd of deer. The day we walked over Rannoch Moor it rained almost constantly making the tracks or military roads into little streams. Fortunately the weather improved again and the sun was shining when we reached the end at Fort William .'
Gill has raised a fantastic £422 for the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home with further sponsor monies still to come! IRHH would like to say a big thank you to Gill for her continued support and excellent fundraising achievements.
Congratulations to both Gill and Debbie on completing the West Highland Way!
