The Court Theatre at Pendley's long association with the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home continued with a special matineée performance of "Hi-De-Hi" on Saturday 23rd June with proceeds coming to IRHH.

The cast was joined on stage by Jimmy Perry, one of the co-writers of the TV series, Jeffrey Holland who played Spike, Mary Husband, the original costume designer and Pam Cundell who played Mrs Fox in Dad's Army. Jimmy Perry paid tribute to everyone involved in the production.

"Hi-De-Hi" is Paul Carpenter and Ian Gower's latest tribute to the golden years of British light entertainment. It brought the hugely popular television series to the stage with all the famous characters vividly recreated by a talented cast headed by Andy Faber as Jeffrey Fairbrother, Colin Hubbocks as Spike Dixon, Stephanie Bedwin as Gladys Pugh, Maxine Reece as Peggy Ollerenshaw and Dennis Fugard as Ted Bovis. All did a superb job of bringing their well-known characters to life.

The performance was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Dacorum, Cllr Carol Green.
