Raising money for IRHH by taking the plunge

Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet, the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go, freefalling through the sky at over 120mph! The parachute then opens and its peace and quiet and beautiful views for the descent to the ground.

On Sunday 3rd June, 10 brave IRHH supporters took part in the special Iain Rennie Parachute Jump Day, ‘Jump in June' at an airfield near Bicester. Harnessed to professional parachute instructors they bravely made the big jump to earn the sponsorship money they had raised for IRHH. Luckily the weather was beautiful and all 10 jumpers, aged from 18 to 69, had the time of their lives.

A couple of jumpers were doing the jump for a second time and many said they would certainly be jumping again. What an experience!

We run parachute jumps any weekend of the year and if you raise the minimum of £395 then you get to jump absolutely free!
