Guardian Court lunch and raffle

On Wednesday 28th February the residents and friends of Guardian Court in Farnham Common had a fund raising lunch for IRHH. A lunch and raffle organised by Moira Davis was put on in support of Emma Newell's marathon run (in memory of Ron Newell). With ticket sales, donations from families, the raffle (in which the guests donated prizes and then Olive expertly sold the tickets), and Don's fantastic idea at the end to generously auction some of his own wine and champagne ... they managed to raise a superb £520 between them!! Absolutely everyone had a wonderful day, including all the lovely ladies that helped in the kitchen and the collective contribution far exceeded all expectations. A huge thank you to Maura in particular - she baked 4 amazing and HUGE shepherds pies and put in so much effort, the team of helpers, the donation of the hall free of charge and in particular the wonderful residents of Guardian Court for their generosity.
