Gerrards Cross Golf Club raise in excess of £17,000

Moira Rennie accepts cheque from Ladies Captain
Catriona Porter and Captain Gilbert Runnicles

Captain Gilbert Runnicles and Ladies' Captain Catriona Porter had good reason to celebrate as their fund raising efforts for The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home raised in excess of £17,000. The members and guests were joined for a cheque presentation by Moira Rennie, past Ladies' Captain at Gerrards Cross. The money was raised from a variety of events including bridge drives, donations from golf competitions and the proceeds of Captain's Day in July.  A sale of the Club's History book also fetched £1,472.

Moira in her vote of thanks said "I am overwhelmed with the generosity of the members and am as always very grateful to them for their help and support". Gilbert added "This charity is very close to our hearts at Gerrards Cross as both Iain and Moira were members.  We are delighted to be able to support their marvellous work."

IRHH would like to thank all members of the Club, in particular Gilbert and Catriona, for what has been a very successful year of fundraising.
