A Butterfly In Memory of Barbara

Every patient cared for by the Iain Rennie Nurses holds a special place within the organisation.  It was therefore with great pleasure that the IRHH Ridgeway team nurses accepted a beautiful framed butterfly jigsaw in memory of patient Barbara Bennett who was cared for until her death in 2002.

The jigsaw was a present from Barbara to her good friend and neighbour, Ann.  The butterfly is a strong symbol within the hospice world and is, of course, the emblem of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.  Ann and her husband Alan therefore decided to present the completed and framed jigsaw butterfly to the Ridgeway nurses who will give it a permanent home in the Tring office where they meet.

We send our thanks to Ann and to Alan (who is now a volunteer at IRHH working within IT and Communications) for this gift in memory of Barbara and for their support for our work.
