A fantastic fundraising evening at ‘The Old Bengal '

Ruth Barber and Nick Wastnage

On Monday 25th February the Rhyme and Reason fundraising group held a dinner at the Indian restaurant in Beaconsfield called ‘The Old Bengal'. Over 30 people joined the group for the evening and indulged in a 3 course meal and fantastic raffle.

During the evening, Community Fundraiser Ruth Barber was presented with a cheque for £500 following the successful sales of their latest book. One of the highlights of the event was when a few members of the group read favourite extracts from the book. These were enjoyed by all. There was then an auction for 3 books signed by Bill Turnbull and Geoffrey Palmer, one of which went for an amazing £21!

The event raised a whopping £660 and we are very grateful to everyone who came along.

If you would like to purchase a copy of the new publication please contact Ruth Barber on 01442 890222 or rbarber@irhh.org.

IRHH would like to thank the Rhyme and Reason fundraising group along with all those who attended the event for their continued support.
