The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home's Appeals & Communications Director, Robert Breakwell, was thrilled to accept a cheque for £3,976.50 from Audrey Morris, Chairperson of the Holiday Bazaar Committee of the Chilterns American Women's Club. The presentation was made at the Club's monthly meeting at the National Society for Epilepsy which hosts the club's monthly meetings at its base in Chalfont St Peter. The club's annual Bazaar took place on 15th November 2007 and raised over £10,000 for good causes. A further cheque for over £5,000 was presented to the National Society for Epilepsy. Robert Breakwell thanked everyone who had worked to make the Holiday Bazaar such a great success. "The Iain Rennie Nurses care for over 800 patients and their families and carers each year, but every family is an indiviudual with their own difficulties, needs and hopes", said Robert. "Our nurses work hard to respond to the special and unique needs of all our patients at any time of the day or night with expert advice and practical hands-on care. The money raised at the Holiday Bazaar will make a reall difference to local patients living in the Chilterns area and we thank everyone who worked so hard to raise such a brilliant amount of money." |
