Feast of Fashion, Showcase of Talent and lots of WOW Factor!

As well as being a very special occasion that will be remembered for amazing impact on the night, ZER08 has been declared a huge financial success. The innovative fashion show was enjoyed by a capacity crowd in Berkhamsted on Sunday 9th March.  Initially the vision of Hair Designer Charlotte Johnson, the event involved a cast of around 200 people. Key players in the organisation were Stage Manager Rose Scarborough, Show Coordinator Linda Morgan and Advertising and PR Manager, Jenny Moloney from the IRHH Fundraising team. With such a great team of helpers and supporters we can't mention everyone here but we are grateful to everyone who contributed by sponsoring, designing, modelling, hosting, hairdressing and makeup artists, donating raffle prizes, manning the bar, the door….

The show itself comprised 14 different sets – some featuring the clothes from local shops and boutiques, some the exotic and unusual creations of fashion students. Suzanne Britton from IRHH organised a section called RAW (Recycled and Wearable) featuring clothing from the IRHH charity shops. Suzanne also designed a copy of a £24,500 Dolce and Gabanna gown costing more like £24.50 which drew in gasps as it was modelled on stage by Gazette Fashion Editor, Abena Bailey.

The raffle itself raised over £700 with 20 wonderful prizes donated by local businesses and supporters. Sales were generated by young men body painted by our own Jackie Bryant .

Thank you to all – Showtime was just sensational!
