Pub Quiz Raises £1300 For Iain Rennie Nurses

Reports of "tough times" at the Iain Rennie Hospice At Home in The Gazette newspaper back in February prompted regulars at the Kings Arms Public House in Tring to do something to help. Organisers of the regular Monday Night Quiz decided to donate the money raised throughout the year to the Hospice At Home nurses.

On Wednesday 5th December Quiz Organiser, Bob Spriggs, and Landlord, John Francis, handed over a cheque for £1300 to Iain Rennie's Appeals Director, Robert Breakwell.

"We are grateful to everyone who helped us through our financial difficulties," said Robert Breakwell. "We send a huge "thank you" to everyone at the Kings Arms for doing their bit and enabling us to go on caring for a growing number of patients and families."

The quizes ran between February and May and 10 teams battled it out to see which was the most knowledgeable. The winning team was "The Old Fogies" led by Kings Arms Regular, John Ross.
