The Fundraising , Appeals and Communications teams are responsible for raising around two thirds of the IRHH's annual budget and for raising awareness of all aspects of our work within the community. As we rely so heavily on donations, events, legacies and community support, our approach to fundraising has to be professional, imaginative and innovative. We believe in offering first rate support to everyone who helps us to raise funds.

Our Community and Events Fundraising team works hard to raise funds by organising events and fundraising initiatives, and by providing support and materials for people and organisations who wish to support our work. They arrange presentations by our Ambassadors, manage our Whats On events diary and always welcome contact from anyone who wishes to become involved in our fundraising.
Our Appeals team receives and acknowledges donations sent to us, manages our supporter database and organises mailings to our supporters aimed at increasing funds or participation in events. The team also manages the income received from legacies and "in memory" donations.
Our Corporate Fundraiser contacts companies and organisations who have offered to support our work, or who may be able to do so. Building relationships with corporates and grant-making trusts is a crucial element of our fundraising strategy.

Our Communications team works hard to raise awareness of all aspects of the IRHH service across all our communities. The team produces our Doorstep newsletter, our Annual Review and various other leaflets and publications, and maintains relationships with local newspapers and broadcast media to promote our work and activities.
