Invitation to open your garden, Summer 2010

Planning has started for the 2010 Open Gardens Scheme so if you would like to be involved in any way please get in touch.

Whether you are part of a neighbourhood group, village or an individual who would consider opening your garden to raise funds for us, we would love to hear from you too. As those who have opened their gardens in the past will testify, it is worth all the hard work and time that goes into lovingly tending their gardens. Planning ahead - Bucks County Show, Thursday 26th August

The IRHH pitch has been booked for the Bucks County Show, which is to be held on Thursday 26th August. For the past 2 years, the Fundraising Team has run a bottle and bears tombola, which has proved very popular with visitors to the Show and has raised in excess of £1,700.

We are planning to run a similar stall again this year and are looking for donations of bottles or details of any contacts we could approach to request a donation. If you are able to help with a suitable donation or contact details please click here to email Joanne Hunt and help us to make this year's Bucks County Show another success for IRHH.

MEU revamp

Our Mobile Exhibition Unit (MEU) that we use for IRHH brand awareness at events is well and truly due for some TLC. The large side awning is to be replaced, the interior must be updated, the brochure stand needs replacing, the exterior needs new logo transfers and so on. This will be a costly but necessary exercise. We are looking for donations to help cover the cost and any offers of help from any competent DIY lovers. Please contact Jenny Moloney on 01442 890222.

New IRHH shop opening soon

We are inviting applications for the part-time posts of Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager for a new shop opening soon in Holmer Green. All interested parties should contact Lesley Blencowe.

As well as our need to recruit volunteers to work in the shop once opened, we are also looking to put together a team prepared to help get the shop building ready for use. Over a weekend, probably towards the end of February, we will need people to paint (both inside and out), as well as generally clean and help get the shop ready for business. If you could spare some time to help please click here to email Lesley or call 01442 827699.

Learn about the virtual world to help our real world....

The Retail & Trading Team would like to double their number of eBay listers, as they now have a second work station at Akeman Street, for their virtual shop. Could you help? You will need to be computer literate and a knowledge of eBay or collectables will be very useful but not essential! Volunteers usually work just half a day a week.

If you have some time to spare please click here to email Rozina Ahmad, or click here to email Jane Carruthers tel. 01442 890222.
