e-News is the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home's free news and information service and is designed to keep our supporters, staff and volunteers in touch with the work of our organisation.

Issue 221, 10th March 2010

New look e-News coming soon!

We are planning some changes to e-News which we hope you will welcome. Future bulletins will include updates from our nursing teams plus news of all our other activities. We plan to issue these bulletins monthly rather than fortnightly, although there may be the occasional "special edition". The next monthly e-News will be distributed in early April. We are also planning to make improvements to the overall look and feel of our e-News bulletins. We hope that these changes will meet with your approval; if you have any comments or suggestions please email them to enews@irhh.org.

Sponsors sought for Open Gardens brochure

With 40 open gardens now confirmed, final details are being prepared for the full colour brochure which will be widely used to publicise our 2010 Open Gardens scheme. With 10 local companies already signed up to place an advert in the brochure, we are well on the way to having a self-financing publication. However, with 20,000 copies being printed, we are still looking for a couple of sponsors to support the event and provide the final funds needed to cover printing costs.

Sponsors will have their company advert in the brochure, with an opportunity for a company logo to be included on posters, flyers and on our website, as well as company leaflet distribution at the open gardens. Local press coverage will provide an additional publicity medium.

If you have your own company, or know of a local company who may be interested in supporting us, and would like more details regarding brochure sponsorship please click here to contact Jenny Moloney or call 01442 890222 by the end of Friday 12th March .

Exciting Job Opportunities at IRHH

We have two IT temporary positions available and are also looking for Nurses and Bank Nurses to join our highly regarded teams. Click here for all the details.

Still Life Photographer needed

Are you experienced in still life photography? The Retail and Trading Team would like to find some volunteer photographers to create images of items that are to be sold in our virtual shop on eBay. Ideally, a volunteer would be available for a few hours on a Monday or Tuesday. The role is based at Akeman Street in Tring and photographers can either use their own or an IRHH camera.

Complementary Therapists

Following the success of our newly established team of Complementary Therapists, the requests from nurses on behalf of their patients is growing! If you could join the team please let us know. We particularly need therapists in the Wycombe area. We are recruiting Aromatherapists, Reflexologists, Massage Therapists, CranioSacral Therapists and Reiki Practitioners with one or two years post qualification experience and an Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) qualification. We hope volunteers will be able to offer half a day a week. A full induction and education programme is offered plus ongoing support in relation to this specialist care to suitable practitioners.

If you have some time to spare for either of these roles please click here to email Rozina Ahmad, click here to email Jane Carruthers or call 01494 877200.
