We start with an exciting step towards our plans to provide better care for more patients as last month saw the announcement of our integration of clinical and nursing services with Grove House Hospice in St Albans. Click here for the full story.
Nursing Conference...IRHH is gearing up to its annual nursing conference later this year. With several high profile speakers confirmed, the day promises to be a popular way for nursing practitioners to keep up to date with best practice in palliative care. Click here for full details.
We have over 500 walkers signed up for our 4th Goodnight Walk event on Saturday 19th June... but its not too late to join the biggest Mardi Gras party this side of Rio! Click here to register online now.
TV Presenter Fern Britton has helped us launch the perfect summer fundraising idea - IRHH's Chilterns Big Brew! Timed to coincide with the Wimbledon fortnight, we are encouraging supporters to hold their own tea party (or maybe something stronger!) and raise money for IRHH in the process. Click here for lots of ideas and support materials.
And that's not all Fern has helped us with....
In a busy month for our Retail & Trading Department we were proud to open our newest shop in Holmer Green, and delighted that our president, Moira Rennie, and Fern Britton were able to cut the ribbon. Click here for pictures from the grand opening.
Our popular bookshop in Tring was also on the move, and has now taken up residency at its new location in the High Street, which is already proving very beneficial. BBC Presenter and IRHH Patron Bill Turnbull helped us re-open the shop, and signed copies of his new book. Click here for details.
Can you help...? The new bookshop is in need of a blind in the front window to prevent volunteers and customers from being roasted by the sun's rays. We will have the blind printed in our corporate colours and with useful information about the shop. If you would be willing to provide the funding for the new blind (approximately £100) please contact Linda Petrons on 01442 890222, email lpetrons@irhh.org
Say it with flowers... Don't forget, if you are ordering flowers to be sent to family or friends in the post, use www.charityflowers.co.uk and IRHH will receive a donation of 15% of your total order. Order online or by phone on 08705 300 600, and quote "IRHH" when you order.
Another new shop on the way.....
We are currently recruiting for a Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager for the next shop we will be opening, in Downley, near High Wycombe.
And we also have vacancies for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our Ridgeway nursing team and for Band 5 nurses across all of our teams.
Click here for details of these, and to keep up to date with all our current vacancies, or contact Suzanne Casey on 01494 877200, email scasey@irhh.org
This month we'd love to hear from anyone who could help in a new role as an ambassador for schools. We also have vacancies for receptionists at GKH, drivers for our bereavement support team and Saturday volunteers for our shops in Holmer Green and Flackwell Heath. Details of these, and all the other roles available, can be found by clicking here.
Our Jigsaw Information Sessions are a great way for anyone interested in volunteering to find out more the organisation and for existing volunteers to update their knowledge of our work. The next session is on Thursday 17th June at the Red Cross Hall in Tring.
If you would like to attend Jigsaw or would like more information about ways in which you could help as a volunteer, contact Jane Carruthers on 01494 877200, email jcarruthers@irhh.org
