Gift Aid

Give your donation a real boost - at no cost to you!

Through Gift Aid, charities are able to reclaim tax paid by a donor on their gift. By completing a simple Gift Aid Declaration Form, you can enable us to reclaim tax on all your donations as long as you are a UK tax payer and have paid sufficient tax in the current tax year.

If this is the case, IRHH can reclaim the tax you paid on your gross donation (its value before tax was deducted) which, along with further transitional relief provided by Government until 5th April 2011, means that for every pound donated under the Gift Aid scheme IRHH will receive an additional 25 pence.

Higher rate taxpayers who make donations through Gift Aid can even claim extra relief on their donations for themselves. Some donors choose to pass on this extra reclaimed tax either direct to the charity or through their Self Assessment Tax Return.

Gift Aid can apply to one-off donations, to a series of regular donations, or to any donations made in the last four years. If you do not pay tax, you should not use Gift Aid.
