Support our team of runners in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon
On Sunday 17 April 2011 whether sitting on the sofa or lining the streets of London, we will all be cheering on our team of 23 runners in this year's Virgin London Marathon. After months of arduous training and a host of fundraising events, our team will be hoping for the ideal conditions of a cool, dry day to help them on their way. Fuelled by fun events such as the IRHH Pre-Race Pasta Party, the team is hoping to raise in excess of £50,000 for us this year.
If you already have a place in this year's marathon and would like to run in support of IRHH, please contact fundraising@irhh.org or telephone 01442 890222, as we still have a few spaces left on the team. We'll provide you with sponsor forms, set you up a Just Giving site, provide posters and other promotional material, plus fundraising tips and advice. All that and the chance to come to the Pre-Race Pasta Party!

Are you interested in running The Virgin London Marathon in 2012?
2012 is Olympic Year and interest in the London sporting events is bound to be high. So if you would like to run the race next year, be prepared to be quick off the blocks!
IRHH holds a number of its own places for the London Marathon and with the popularity of this event ever increasing the competition for those places is getting tougher than ever!
Online Ballot
The official Virgin London Marathon ballot will open in the few days after the 2011 race, so whether you would like to apply for an Iain Rennie Golden Bond place or not, we advise all interested runners to apply in the ballot initially to increase their chances of obtaining a place. So put a note in your diary to visit the online ballot website immediately after this year's marathon as in recent years the ballots have closed within 2 days due to overwhelming demand.

Once you have applied in the ballot please contact Iain Rennie to register your interest in applying for a Golden Bond place and you will then be invited to the IRHH open evening held in September 2010. Following the open evening we will allocate our places to the successful applicants.
