The 31 strong IRHH London Marathon Team

After arduous training through the winter months, a record breaking 31 runners formed the IRHH Team in the London Marathon on Sunday 13th April 2008. Despite the changeable weather between sun and pouring rain, warmth and bitter cold, every one of the runners battled through the 26.2 mile race to cross the finish line - maintaining the 100% finishing record of our teams from previous years.

The IRHH cheering squad managed to spot the majority of the IRHH runners from the sea of people, although sometimes they were running so fast we just managed to catch their backs!  Click here to see the photos that we managed to take.

Our sincere thanks go to all of our brave runners for putting themselves through such a challenging experience and for contributing so much to IRHH.  The team has broken another record this year - it looks like comfortably over £80,000 has been raised in sponsorship alone, which, with a little luck, may well be pushing the £100,000 barrier once the Gift Aid has been claimed. An absolutely staggering amount!

If you feel tempted by running the London Marathon in 2009, then please visit www.london-marathon.co.uk on Monday 21st April after 9am to apply - please be prompt as 80,000 of the possible 120,000 ballot positions were taken up within 36 hours of the ballot opening!
