Mayor helps IRHH box collection schemeIRHH were delighted to receive a donation of £600 from Tring Town Council allowing us to purchase 200 new collecting boxes for use in shops and pubs.
The Mayor of Tring, Nick Hollinghurst, presented boxes to three businesses close to the IRHH office in Tring - Western Road Newsagents, Hertfordshire Horologists and Atkins Bakery. Rennie Bear was also on hand to oversee the presentation and promote our Goodnight Walk.
IRHH Communications Officer, Stephen Biggs , explained: "Our shop boxes raise over £16000 per year towards our nursing service, so we are very grateful to Tring Council for enabling us to buy more boxes, and to the many shops and pubs in the area who have a box on their counter. The new, larger boxes are fitted with chains to make them more secure, and we have a team of volunteers who collect them when they are full. The system works very well, both for Iain Rennie and the box owners."
We also have smaller home boxes for individuals or families wishing to put their loose change to good use. To register for a collecting box call the IRHH Fundraising Team on 01442 890222 or email fundraising@irhh.org .
