Wanderers thanked for tremendous support

Wycombe Wanderers recently reached the end of a very successful year in partnership with IRHH, which raised over £33000.

IRHH Chief Executive, Rowena Dean, commented: "We were proud and honoured to be selected as Wycombe Wanderers Football Club's first ever Charity of the Year in 2007, and working with the largest football league club in our area has been a tremendous financial success.  The magnificent amount raised will fund a nurse's salary for 15 months, and we could not have achieved this without the amazing support and generosity of everyone connected with WWFC."

WWFC allowed Iain Rennie to hold bucket collections, quiz nights, an AGM and various other functions at Adams Park , and WWFC representatives and supporters undertook physical challenges to boost funds, including parachute jumps, the London Marathon and sponsored walks and cycle rides.  They also provided IRHH with our very own Rennie Bear mascot, who has now become a regular attendee at fundraising events across the area.

WWFC Secretary Keith Allen added:  "We have thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at Iain Rennie, and are delighted to help raise as much money as we did.  The IRHH nurses do a huge amount to support the local community, including some of our loyal supporters, and we wish them every success with their fundraising in the future."
