Legendary Pepper Rocks On!
The 2008 Pepper Summer Show, "Pepper Rock Legends" raised an amazing £45,000. Pepper's 20th show performed to capacity crowds for 7 nights at Berkhamsted Collegiate School 's Centenary Hall in July and was a virtual sell-out with 98% of the tickets sold. The show featured many of the best moments from Pepper's 19 previous shows including classic music from Queen, Bon Jovi, Elton John, Abba and Status Quo all performed by a talented cast of singers and actors and local children backed by a rock ensemble.
Event Chairman, John Watts, announced the total at a meeting attended by a large number of cast, crew and organisers. He said, "We achieved our objective and celebrated our 20th year with an amazing show, a fantastic total raised and great enthusiasm for the future." However, John also announced that he will not be chairing the 2009 event and therefore the search is now on for someone to lead Pepper's 2009 summer event.
