Bill Giles OBE and Father Christmas officially opened the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home's new shop in Flackwell Heath on Friday 5th December.
Former BBC Weatherman and IRHH Patron, Bill, joined forces with Super Santa, aka Cllr Doug Anson MBE, a District and County Councillor and former Mayor of Marlow, to cut the tape at the new shop at 5 Swains Market.
After a welcome from IRHH Chairman, Steve Cuthbert, and a few words from Bill, a crowd of enthusiastic shoppers and supporters were able to enjoy celebratory champagne and mince pies and the chance to pick up a bargain.
The shop will be under the expert management of Sally Birch and herassistant Diana Turner supported by a growing team of volunteers. Sally said "Diana and I have both been delighted by the warm welcome we've already received from our fellow traders in Swains Market and we very much looking forward to welcoming new customers and spreading the word about the work of IRHH".
Diana added: "The shop will stock a wide range of goods. Clothing for the whole family, books, DVDs and music to keep you entertained as well as household items and furniture - in fact anything the public choose to give us! We will also be selling our very popular range of Christmas merchandise. So whether you are donating items or coming in to bag a bargain we look forward to welcoming you very soon."
The shop is in need of more volunteers and a warm welcome is promised to anyone who would like to offer to help in the shop. If you would like any further information please contact Rozina Ahmad rahmad@irhh.org on 01494 877200.
