Bill Giles presents prizes to Tring Anglers

Tring Anglers held their second open fishing match for the benefit of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. They picked a wonderful sunny Sunday but the fish obviously preferred hiding in the shade as it wasn't the best day for big catches. £90 from entry fees was donated to IRHH, kindly topped up to £100 by Richard Wylie who came 3rd in the competition.

IRHH patron, Bill Giles OBE, presented prizes to the winners. After some debate about replacing the cup with a dog biscuit to avoid allegations of match rigging, Bill presented the cup to the winner, Club Chairman Andy Allday. Dick Pilkinton then presented Bill with a life membership of Tring Anglers.

Committee members and participants enjoyed a refreshing drink in the gardens of the Grand Junction Arms where the raffle, organised by Dick and Sheila Pilkinton was drawn. This raised a further £107.

IRHH is very grateful to the club for their continued support.
