345 women strolled through the streets of Amersham at Midnight

On Saturday 7th June 345 women donned their walking shoes and walked through the streets of Amersham in support of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. The walk began at midnight after a quick warm up and the streets were soon buzzing with the sound of footsteps.

There were plenty of marshal stations along the route which kept the ladies refuelled and going in the right direction. On their return they were greeted by a group of people giving out medals and bright pink Gerbera each! They then made their way to the main hall where they were given a cup of tea and well deserved bacon butty.

The sponsorship pledged on the night totalled an amazing £50,000! This is a phenomenal amount and we would like to thank all those involved including our walkers, marshals and volunteers. All you need to do now is send in your sponsor money!

We will soon be releasing the date and route for next years Goodnight Walk so if you would like to be involved with either walking or helping on the night please let us know on 01442 890222 or by emailing rbarber@irhh.org.
