Marsworth Music Festival
The Marsworth Music Festival held at the Anglers Retreat Pub on Saturday 21st June 2008 was a huge success despite the chilly weather and has so far raised approximately £2000 as a result of a raffle held by the owner, t-shirt sales, collections and Hospice Lottery ticket sales.
Regular IRHH supporter, landlady Pauline Payne, was delighted with the success of the event and is continuing to collect money from t-shirt sales. IRHH also held a stall featuring the popular 'Guess how many Pennies' game and a traditional throwing game called 'Pitch Penny'. There was a tasty BBQ and Live music from 1.00pm until the small hours of the morning from a host of local bands including Under the Influence , Modus , Scratch Band , Muddlehead and finally Bad Wolf who rocked the night away! The proceeds will be split between IRHH and another local charity who also attended the event.
